It’s amazing how exhilarating that professional photographic awards can be, it never gets easier on the nerves or anxiety regardless of how strong you know your submitted portfolio is. Equally it is an important part of the ongoing progression of photography where we as artists, are striving to continually provide fresh & artistic images for our clients where the boundaries are pushed. It is also a great leveller being prepared to put your work up there with the very best to have it judged & assessed, not many are prepared to do this, we are though because we believe & have confidence in our work, the standards in the professional awards though are so incredibly high. Yes, sure, we could just shoot the same style, set images week in week out & stagnate as photographers but that isn’t what Be-One Photography is about, we give our clients the very highest quality of work possible, every wedding we photograph is a totally different scenario to the last & is treated as such & the results speak for themselves. Delivering the finished product to a newlywed couple is a proud & joyous occasion when you know that your work that we have both put our heart & soul into moves them emotionally back to that wonderful day when they began their married adventure together.
After much time selecting images, then getting them professionally printed & prepared for entry Belinda & I submitted our work into several categories at the NSW Epson Professional Photography Awards & we were extremely pleased to pick up several awards between us. Huge thanks to the amazing printing work by Mark & Chin at Zone Printing & also to The Framing Game for the matting & mounting, you guys rock!
A few updates to what we’ve been up to in between weddings.
Now is the time, well actually it started weeks ago! That we prepare for the upcoming season of wedding expo’s where we get to meet thousands of exiting prospective clients & other wedding vendors. It is a fun time that we really enjoy & this year we have put in the extra mile to ensure that we can show everyone exactly why we provide that little bit more with our beautiful wedding albums and examples of our wedding & pre-wedding photography. We know that all of the hard work is worth it & very much enjoy meeting everyone. The first one we are exhibiting at is the awesome Getting Hitched wedding expo at Mingara Recreational Club on Sunday 18th June 2017.
It is amazing how fast technology moves & to think that even USB now seems to be going down the road of obsolescence is incredible, again we have now decided that we provide the full resolution images in a secure online gallery that our clients are given a password to, images can be downloaded, shared or whatever clients wish from there and it’s accessible from any device anywhere & anytime without the need for USB. As accredited professionals, it also provides another form of permanent safe archiving of a client’s priceless images, this service is included in all of our packages.
We are also in the final stages of negotiation to provide a direct print order facility for these images for those that are keen to receive professionally printed artwork in numerous types & sizes (prints, canvases, acrylics etc) from one of Australia’s top professional printing labs direct to your door at extremely competitive prices. It removes the hassle of clients having to physically organise the printing themselves & certainly ensures a top quality product, we did trial supplying just prints with the packages but felt that everyone has different favourites & small locally printed photographs didn’t really do the images justice. A top quality image deserves only the very best printing.
